Accountable Now

BRIEF

In February 2021, Accountable Now launched. It is a first-of-its-kind national database that compiles and harmonizes police departments’ use-of-force data and makes it available to advocates, policymakers, and communities to affect permanent change. Combined efforts in message development, strategic media outreach, and digital content creation ultimately led to dedicated coverage of the platform in the Associated Press, TIME Magazine, The Hill, multiple Spanish-language outlets, and local broadcast stations in key markets.
