Breast Cancer Advocacy Summit

BRIEF

Gilead’s Public Affairs - U.S. Oncology Advocacy engaged with national breast cancer advocates by hosting the Breast Cancer Advocacy Summit (BCAS) in March 2023 at their Northern California campus. This initiative aimed to demonstrate Gilead’s dedication to developing a top-tier oncology portfolio influenced by patient input. The event, organized by the Advocacy team and over 45 cross-functional Gilead partners, provided a unique platform for bi-directional communication and collaboration. Attended by 28 advocates from prominent groups such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation and American Cancer Society, the two-day summit featured a keynote address by Olympian Chaunte Lowe, Gilead leadership speeches, poster presentations, and detailed discussions on Gilead's oncology pipeline, reinforcing the company's commitment to the breast cancer community and enhancing partnerships with advocates.
